Oh What a Night – of Storytelling

Better Said Than Done’s July storytelling show, at The Auld Shebeen in Fairfax, VA, was quite a night to remember.

In “Oh What a Night,” storytellers shared true, personal stories about bad dates, riots, and other nights to remember. The night of storytelling was hosted by Anna Marie Trester.

The first storyteller of the night was Zach Wilks. Check out a video of his story about his wife here.

Mel Pine continued with a story from Philadelphia of the 60s. Watch the video.

Ann Cavazos spent an unforgettable night in the hospital working as a Navy nurse. Click here for her video.

Anna Marie Trester found her rhythm. You can feel the rhythm watching her video.

Watch Anne Thomas’ story about a date that was not a date here.

Mattie Cohan also had a dating story but hers, unfortunately, was definitely a date. Watch here.

Richard Barr spent a scary night in New York City during the Summer of Sam. Get scared by watching this.

Bradley Podliska closed out the night with his tale of dating for public consumption in the Washington Post. Don’t bother reading about it. You can see the whole story here.

Another great storytelling show is coming soon – but not until September. Better Said Than Done is going to be very busy in September so mark your calendars now. Get all the info about our upcoming storytelling events here.
