Great stories

Ira Glass related the adage, “Great stories happen to those who can tell them.” At Better Said Than Done, we believe that everyone has a story to tell, and we will teach you how to tell a great one!

Mary Supley FoxworthOur workshop, Take the Stage: storytelling for performance,  delves into the elements, tools, and skills of storytelling critical to developing and performing an engaging true, personal story on stage. Sign up now to get started next week! (August 11, 18, 25, in Reston, address provided upon paid registration)

We will cover character development and story structure; methods to enhance your story with drama, humor, and more; and performance tips and techniques. Throughout the three weeks, each participant will work on developing and fine-tuning one story, using what we discuss each session to revise it for the next, and, ultimately, for the stage.
