Better Said Than Done’s February storytelling show was all about understanding, or misunderstanding. In “He Said, She Said: stories with a point of view, or two,” storytellers shared true, personal stories about what he said, what she said, and what was actually meant. It was another great night out at The Auld Shebeen in Fairfax, VA.
Perhaps these photos will give you an idea of what the show was like. But is it the right idea?
Jay Krasnow told a story about a misunderstanding on a train.
First time storyteller Freddi Donner told how one missed opportunity led to many more.
Elinor Klein’s story dealt with workplace behavior.
In our first of two joint stories, Colleen and Jack Pelar talked about how each of them dealt with a life altering illness. This photo pretty much sums it up.
Richard Barr discussed some international travel related misinterpretations.
Catherine Calvin took us on a ride in her carpool gone wrong story.
And our last story was not only the second joint story of the night, but also featured our second first time storyteller, John Kreul, sharing the stage with his wife, Allison Stevens. And, yeah, this photo pretty much sums this one up too.
Host Jessica Robinson thanked The Auld Shebeen for the wonderful food, drinks and hospitality, thanked the storytellers for a fantastic night and thanked the audience. We love sharing our stories with you and, in this case, we hope you left with a better understanding than we all started with.
