Holiday Stories

Better Said Than Done brought the holidays to Northern Virginia, with a night of true, personal storytelling filled with holiday cheer.

Jessica Piscitelli Robinson hosted and started the night off with a story about what Christmas always meant to her.  Mel Pine continued the Christmas stories by telling of his time volunteering at a mental institution.

First Time Teller Kim Ruff brought us home with a good ole Southern Christmas, and Jeremy Strozer shared what it was like for a Jewish boy at his first Christmas celebration.

After a brief break for more food and drink from the staff at Epicure Cafe, Mattie Cohan brought us her version of “Meet the Parents.”  Nate Johnson picked up with a rowdy tale of pink pants and Thanksgiving, from his high school days.

Miriam Nadel covered all the holidays, including Dice Day, before Mike Kane closed the night with his daughter’s question, “Dad, is there really a Santa Clause?”

What a great last show of the year, and a great way to kick off the holiday season.  Storytellers really know how to celebrate, if I do say so myself!
