Recap of Reston Storytelling Show

It was a great night for storytelling and a successful night for the Reston Nature House when Better Said Than Done hosted a storytelling fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the Friends of Reston. The theme of the night was “Believe It or Not” and there were definitely some hard to believe true stories.

Jessica Piscitelli Robinson, president of the Friends of Reston Board and Founder of Better Said Than Done, hosted the event and started the night off with a story of strange meetings.

Joe Ganci, a newcomer to storytelling, took us to the Twilight Zone with his weird tales.

Kathy Baird, a first time storyteller and graduate of our storytelling workshop, shared a complex web of coincidences in a heartfelt story.

Richard Barr, also a first time storyteller, took us to Estonia and back with a life event that balanced on the flip of a coin.

Donna Davis, also a graduate of our storytelling workshop, performed her first story about the night she heard a voice and answered the call.

Pierce McManus also heard a call, actually several, in his hilarious story of his college deejay days.

Mary Supley Foxworth read our minds and delivered a true story about ESP. Anna Marie Trester closed the night of storytelling with an adventure that took her from NY City, to Paris to Montreal.

A lot of first time storytellers! It’s always the best thing about storytelling – everyone has a story.

Join us for our next night of storytelling, October 26th, in Fairfax, VA.
