Recap of October’s Storytelling Show

Our October storytelling show was another great night of storytelling. The theme of the night was “Masquerade” and there were lots of great, true stories disguised as entertainment.

Jessica Piscitelli Robinson, Founder of Better Said Than Done, hosted the event and started the night off with a short story of finding a really cool Halloween costume for a super cool party. Kathy Baird started out the lineup of great storytellers with her tale of how she first found Burning Man.

Kathy, like our next storyteller Richard Barr, made her storytelling debut at Better Said Than Done’s September show. Richard returned this month to share his story of making a CHIPS costume for his son. Cara Foran, a veteran storyteller, shared a true story about a notorious liar. And Soledad Roybal made her storytelling debut with an international tale of travel woes, wedded bliss, and the differences that bring us all together.

After a short break to enjoy more beer and delicious victuals from The Auld Shebeen, Victoria Rocha told her Burning Man costume story. Pierce McManus experienced the joys of attending a NY City wedding. Ann Cavazos told us exactly how to dress for biking success. And Michael Zhuang brought the night of true, personal storytelling to a close with his tale of preaching from the pulpit.

Join us for our next night of storytelling, November 30th, in Fairfax, VA.
