Ten Years, Two Virtual Hurrahs

This May marks the 10th anniversary of Better Said Than Done. Our community has grown a lot in the last decade, so much so that it’s going to take two storytelling shows to celebrate it!

We’re also marking the end of our time exclusively mounting our shows online. Come June, we’ll step back out in the world, gathering in person for the first time in over a year. (more on the particulars soon)

We want to use these next two shows to celebrate the fact that, even in the face of pandemic and isolation, we were able to carry on with spirit, camaraderie, and joy.

And that’s just what we’re gonna do! So let me tell you a little bit about these two shows…

The first show is this coming Thursday, May 13th. “Anniversaries” is the theme for the night, with each of our tellers bringing their own unique spin on the topic. Our fearless leader Jessica Robinson is your host for the evening, and she’ll bring to the stage four amazing tellers: Nick Baskerville, Calvin S. Cato, Heather Forest, and Mo Reynolds. Yours humbly, Jack Scheer, will also do my best to live up to the occasion. The show starts at 8:00pm EDT. Go ahead and grab your tickets now, why don’t you?

A week and a half later on Saturday, May 22nd, we’ll present “Perfect Ten” in honor of our ten years of storytelling and community. I have the great privilege to host that night, and I’ll be ushering up six consummate artists: Jeff Gere, Misty Mator, Kory May, Anne Shimojima, Laura Simms, and the aforementioned Jessica Robinson. Hey look, this show starts at 8 o’clock Eastern as well! And you can buy your tickets right now!

That’s two anniversary parties in one month celebrating ten years. It would be our honor to have you join us. Tickets once again are pay-what-you-think-it’s-worth, with a suggested price of $10 ($1 for each year) and a minimum of $5, plus a one dollar handling fee. All ticket holders will receive a link to a recording of the show the next day, if you want to relive what promises to be two wonderful evenings.

Here’s to ten times ten more years!
