Labor Pain Stories

Better Said Than Done’s June storytelling show was all about bosses and babies. “Labor Pains” featured true, personal stories about work.

Jessica Robinson hosted the storytelling show at The Auld Shebeen in Fairfax, VA – our usual last Saturday of the month venue.

Richard Barr started the evening with a story about some twists and turns in his career.

Allison Stevens was the lead suspect in a infamous crime at her place of employment.

Joe Roles described a time when he worked for big Pharma and discovered their moral compass was about where you’d imagine it to be.

First time storyteller Aimee Snow waited impatiently to find out if she was or was not pregnant.

Catherine Calvin put a rather unfortunate boss in his place.

Nick Baskerville shared our stage for the first time with a story about how his wife and he decided whether or not to have more kids.

Brandy Walker shared the intimate details of her home birth experience.

Robert Lovejoy gave us insight into what college professors really know.

All in all, the storytellers’ labor paid off with some great stories for a great audience.
