No Pain, No Gain

Better Said Than Done’s June storytelling show at The Auld Shebeen, in Fairfax, VA, “Labor Pains” featured true, personal stories about bosses and babies.
We videotape our shows at The Auld Shebeen. We don’t share all the videos, and watching a video is not the same as sitting in an audience, but still, we like to give you the opportunity to relive your favorite stories over and over. If you really like one, you could watch it 4 times a day like a 4 year old watching Moana (or a 40 year old, if I’m being honest). Then you could walk around quoting Nick Baskerville or Aimee Snow instead of the Rock. How fun would that be? Give it a try. Start with the videos of our storytellers from June (below) and then work your way back!

Richard Barr‘s story about working it!

Allison Stevens‘ story of suspicion and poop!

Joe Roles‘ story of pharmaceuticals for women.

First time storyteller Aimee Snow‘s story about patience as a patient.

Catherine Calvin‘s battle with a bad boss.

Nick Baskerville‘s story of a pick-up truck vs. a baby.

Brandy Walker‘s home birth experience.

Robert Lovejoy‘s adult education.

True, personal storytelling is what Better Said Than Done is all about. We are ever grateful to the storytellers for getting personal and being true. And the audience for listening, laughing and sometimes even learning.
