Spring Storytelling Workshop

Feel like you’d like to tell a story – on our stage or next time you’re out at a party – but aren’t sure what elements comprise a good story? Or think you have a good story already and just want to make it better?

In the next Better Said Than Done storytelling workshop, “Spotlight on You,” students learn the craft of storytelling as well as get to work on a story and perform it, receiving critical feedback. The next storytelling workshop is on May 11th. Read more about our storytelling class here.

Here’s what a recent graduate of our storytelling workshop said about it:

“This class not only provided insight into what makes a story more tellable, but how the themes of our stories are often bigger than we think they are. I feel like I learned concepts that could be applied to every story and every context. And the opportunity to tell our stories, get feedback, and then RETELL our stories with another round of feeback was an invaluable experience, not only because we could see how the stories changed the second time, but how our listeners interpreted and evaluated both versions. I really enjoyed this experience!” -LJ

The May 11th workshop will be taught by Jessica Piscitelli and Anna Marie Trester. Here’s what one student had to say about the class she took with Anna:

“I absolutely loved it and I think Anna is a fantastic instructor. Anna herself was just a great example for us. She started by telling a story and really setting the stage for us from there. I also really loved the small class size and individual attention she gave us. Anna is perfect. Just as she is! I would actually do the very same class again, just to get the experience.” -KB
