Storytelling at the Auld Shebeen

Spring is here and we, at Better Said Than Done, have gone crazy. That’s right, for May we are mixing thing’s up like it’s mating season, or hay fever season – you pick.

Our May show is not at Epicure Cafe, as most of our shows are. This is not because we have stopped loving Epicure Cafe. Everyone loves it there! It is because we are throwing a big to do for our two year anniversary and needed a larger space. On that note, our May 25th show will be in The Cellar (it’s not a scary cellar like the one grandma had) at the Auld Shebeen in Fairfax.

A few things you should know about the Auld Shebeen. First of all, The Cellar has it’s own entrance, on the side of the building. The entrance we will be using is on North St. It’s pretty much the corner of North St. and Rte. 123, Chain Bridge Rd. Secondly, there is food and drink for sale in the Cellar, so feel free to bring your appetite for both. However, to make greater use of the space, we won’t have a lot of tables out, so if you do want to eat, and want a table for that, get there early – like by 6:05PM – or you might be eating your burger standing against the back wall.

Lastly, there is free parking. Yay for downtown Fairfax! The free parking is located across North St. from The Auld Shebeen. The easiest entrance to the parking garage is on University Dr., just around the corner from North St. You can also enter the same parking garage from Rte. 123, but if you are not familiar with the entrance, it is hard to spot. You can exit the parking garage, on foot, right onto Chain Bridge Rd. and then walk up to the Auld Shebeeen from there.

Here’s a link to their website if you want to plot your course before May 25th!

And here are some more details about our upcoming storytelling show and contest!
