The Better Said Than Done storytellers sent out cries for help in this past week’s storytelling show at The Auld Shebeen in Fairfax, VA.
They say a photo is worth a thousand words, and for the many thousands of words in this blog we have to thank Bart Robinson. Unfortunately, looking at photos of storytellers isn’t as awesome as hearing their true, personal stories, but these will have to do.
Brian Clarke made his debut on the Better Said Than Done stage with a story about elephant taming.
Kathy Baird showed us all her favorite Panda.
Barbara Effron had a less than perfect day at the spa.
Richard Barr took a long drive down to Texas, and lived to tell the tale.
Our storytelling show was hosted by the fabulous Anna Marie Trester, seen here with Anne Thomas.
Anne Thomas had a surprisingly unpleasant experience with the French service industry.
Dustin Fisher tried to stand up to a tow truck driver.
Michael Zhuang told us of a love that survived thousands of miles and many years, but wasn’t meant to be.
Ann Cavazos said farewell to her friend who has not died, but is moving to Massachusetts. Same diff.
If you missed this storytelling show performed by the “Best Performing Arts Company in NoVa” (Virginia Living Magazine 2012-14), that’s too bad – but there’s still hope. Our shows are always the last Saturday of the month.
Our next night of true, personal storytelling is June 28th. To read all about our June storytelling show, and to purchase tickets, click here.
